What to expect during your first Visit

Find your  place  of Worship

As a new Christian you will see many different types of Worship. And the Scripture tells us that Worship is a part of our relationship with God.

(Jn 4:24) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

But where do you fit in? Many new Christian look at the people in the Church and wonder why they don't feel all the things that everyone else is feeling in the Church. Why does the Holy Spirit seen to be transforming the other people of the church but you are still dealing with natural feelings and natural emotions when it seems that everyone else is living a super human life,

As you move closer to God you will find the form of Worship that is your own. You will find that intimate place with God.  Don’t try to copy or mimic others Worship and try to make it your own, because in doing this many people question the power of Worship because they are trying to Worship God in a way that is not natural to or for them. As you seek a deeper relationship with God your mode or style of Worship will be birthed.

As you start out seeking true Worship find some time that you can spend alone with the Father. Find time to be alone so that you can talk with God. Notice the key word is With God, many Christian spend their time talking to God. Talking to God means you do all the talking and God does all the listening, but talking with God means the communication goes both ways. Give yourself time so that after you have poured out your heart to God that you can stay and listen for his voice.  Keep a Bible close by, many times the Lord will speak to you’re directly through the Scriptures.

Many New Christians look around the church and they have questions but they are afraid to ask the questions because they feel they will be considered not Holy enough.

So we intend to break down some of the things about being a Christian that will make your walk easier.

FIRST THINGS YOU MUST DO:

Take the pressure off of yourself. God's desire is to come into your life and to make your load in life easier, not to make life easier but to make the load easier.

(Mt 11:29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

God does not want to come into your life so that he can condemn you; he comes into your life to remove the stain of your sin, to free you to live a life free from condemnation.

So don't beat yourself up because you don't do everything right starting out, God will cleanse you.  Don't feel like you have to  learn the Bible in a day, the knowledge of the Word will come.

Don't allow yourself to get a critical eye, where you begin to condemn everyone that does not go too church like you.

And a Big thing is don't try so hard  that you find yourself feeling like you are not good enough for God. Simpy seek God with your whole heart and allow the Lord our God to do the work in you that he wants to do for you.
